A few years ago, life took an unexpected turn when I (Lisa) had neck surgery and was told I couldn’t return to my job as a designer for children’s wear. Suddenly, I found myself wondering what the future held.
Before having children, I was head designer for Windsor children’s clothing, so creativity and design have always been in my blood. But with the kids all grown up and needing me less, I was at a bit of a crossroads — until my sister-in-law (also called Lisa – we like to keep things simple! 😆) asked me to make her a Roman blind.
I made it, Ian fitted it, and soon her friends were asking for blinds too. Before we knew it, Cherished Blinds & Shutters was born.
